This original painting is inspired by the Sackville River in Nova Scotia, a place my son and I loved spending time together. I wanted to capture it just as I remember it — quiet water, a rocky shoreline and trees surrounding the river. It’s a simple scene, but one that holds a lot of good memories for me.
